Isn't it ironic that Abraham Lincoln, a Republican, signed the Emancipation Proclamation that freed the slaves, and almost 150 years later Barack Obama, a Democrat, signed a health care bill that made us all slaves to the federal government? The American Heritage Dictionary defines a slave as "One who is submissive or subject to a specified person or influence."
The way the bill is written, if we refuse to join, the IRS can attack your wages, fine you, take your home and even put you in prison if you refuse to pay up.
It seems that our leaders ditched the class where I learned that those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
