My husband's Bible was lying on the dash board & he got it & opened it up to the scripture & read it. He started laughing & laughing. Then he read it to me. I couldn't believe what it said. I had a good laugh, too.

ISRAELI RABBIS SAY CURRENT EVENTS COULD LEAD TO "WAR OF GOG AND MAGOG"
(Washington, D.C., June 3, 2010) -- A pastor friend of mine who is helping us set up the 2010 Epicenter Conference in Philadelphia later this month just sent me an urgent text message with this headline from Israel National News: "RABBIS: FLOTILLA CLASH SIMILAR TO GOG AND MAGOG PROPHESY." As you might expect, it caught my attention right away. Excerpts:
* "The Rabbinical Council of Judea and Samaria issued a statement Thursday in which it said that the results of the incident in which Israel intercepted a flotilla trying to break the naval blockade of Gaza seem like the Biblical description of "the beginning of the Gog and Magog process where the world is against us, but which ends with the third and final redemption….

These chapters describe a vision of a war where the world is united against Israel that will precede the final redemption of Israel and the world. There is growing interest in the Ezekiel prophecies and whether they could play out in our lifetime. I believe it is still too early to say anything definitively. But I agree that current events are strikingly consistent with the prophecies and I believe it is possible that we could see these events unfold soon. The mention of "Gomer" in Ezekiel, for example, refers to the modern-day State of Turkey which will be an enemy of Israel and part of a Russian-Iranian alliance against the Jewish state. I'm not saying the prophecy will necessarily come to pass soon, but I can't rule out that possibility. We've never seen a convergence of geopolitical and spiritual events so consistent with Ezekiel 38-39 in history like we are seeing today. We need to be prayerful, sober, alert and prepared. U.N. SECURITY COUNCIL TURNS ON ISRAEL BY CALLING FOR “NUCLEAR FREE ZONE” IN MIDDLE EAST:
A scene ripped out of The Ezekiel Option, this is a great book, if you haven't read it, you should, it's amazing!
The U.N. decision is a move against Israel.
Are the prophecies of Ezekiel 38-39 being set into motion?
In a move ripped from the pages of The Ezekiel Option, the U.N. Security Council on Wednesday unanimously announced that they want to see “full implementation” of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), requiring a “nuclear free Middle East zone.” To the uninitiated, that may sound good on the surface, but it’s actually a direct attack on the State of Israel. Let me explain.
While Iran is feverishly trying to build, buy or steal nuclear weapons to destroy Israel, the Jewish State is currently believed to be the only country in the region that has actually has nuclear weapons. While Israel is believed to have had an arsenal of 150-200 or so nuclear warheads since the 1960s, the country has never formally acknowledged having them, a policy it calls “strategic ambiguity.” But no one has ever truly worried about Israel having nuclear weapons because everyone knows the weapons are for defensive purposes only. Israeli leaders have never threatened to annihilate its neighbors, much less do so on a daily or weekly basis.
What makes the new U.N. announcement so dangerous is that it does nothing to stop Iran from continuing to build its own nuclear weapons. Rather, it turns the world’s attention away from stopping Iran from getting offensive nukes and towards pressuring Israel to give up its defensive nukes. The world will now ramp up unbearable pressure on Israel first to disclose and second to dismantle all of its nuclear arsenal, and claim that no more action can be taken to stop Iran until the “double standard” of Israel is dealt with.
[UPDATE: In his address to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty conference at the U.N. this week, Iranian President Ahmadinejad made this very charge: "While the Zionist regime [Israel] has stockpiled hundreds of nuclear warheads, instigated a number of full-fledged wars, and continues to militarily threaten and terrorize countries of the region, it enjoys the full supported of the United States and of its allies to develop its nuclear weapon program. However, the same governments impose heaviest pressures and psychological warfare upon the member countries on the false pretext of probable diversions of their peaceful activities without giving any substantiated evidence.” Ahmadinejad, of course, called for “rapid and unconditional implementation of the resolution at the 1995 meeting for establishment of nuclear free zone in the Middle East.” He also declared that “those who exploded atomic bombs killed hundreds of thousands of people and leveled to the ground two cities [Americans], are regarded as the most hated human beings in the history.”]

In real life, it is the United States under President Obama and Secretary of State Clinton that has taken the lead to turning hostile towards Israel. But the Russians, Chinese, Brits and the French have rapidly followed suit. What will happen next? That is not yet clear. But it could get very ugly. Barring some unforeseen development, Israel will be increasingly isolated from the international community. And as amazing as it is to say it, the events of this week could theoretically set into motion the fulfillment of the End Times Bible prophecies found in Ezekiel 38-39 — i.e, the “War of Gog and Magog” — if the leader of Russia begins to emerge as the leader of the anti-Israel coalition and requires Israel to comply with the treaty or face an international military coalition prepared to force her to comply.
Yet again, we are reminded by events to pray for peace, but prepare for war.

WILL NETANYAHU HIT IRAN BY AUGUST?

(Washington, D.C., April 15, 2010) -- Russia has just announced that it intends to allow the Iranian nuclear reactor facility located in Bushehr (near the Persian Gulf) to go live in August. This is an ominous development.
Now Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has a fateful decision to make. Will he order a preemptive military strike against all of Iran's nuclear sites before August when the Bushehr site becomes "hot"? His mentor, Menachem Begin, ordered an Israeli air strike against Saddam Hussein's Osirik nuclear reactor in Iraq before it went hot in 1981. Netanyahu wants the world to act with decisive unity to stop Iran from getting the Bomb. But that is increasingly unlikely. The Obama administration is no longer calling for "crippling sanctions," and even if they were, it appears to be too late for sanctions to be effective. U.S. officials -- including Defense Secretary Robert Gates -- says Iran could have the Bomb by next year. German intelligence thinks it could be sooner.
We must prepare for peace, but prepare for war. Here's how:
* We need to preach the gospel to all the people of the epicenter, including our enemies. On Tuesday and Wednesday, I had the remarkable opportunity to go on live satellite TV into Iran and share the gospel, teach on Bible prophecy, and explain God's love for Iran and Israel and all the people of the world. Is Israel about to be invaded?
Part of being the Web Minister for a Bible prophecy teaching ministry is reading up on the news everyday, trying to see where current events are fitting into the overall biblical picture.

Israel has the means of becoming exceedingly wealthy.

I'm 63. Except for one semester in college when jobs were scarce and a six-month period when I was between jobs, but job-hunting every day, I've worked, hard, since I was 18. Despite some health challenges, I still put in 50-hour weeks, and haven't called in sick in seven or eight years. I make a good salary, but I didn't inherit my job or my income, and I worked to get where I am. Given the economy, there's no retirement in sight, and I'm tired. Very tired.
I'm tired of being told that I have to "spread the wealth" to people who don't have my work ethic. I'm tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy to earn it.
I'm tired of being told that I have to pay more taxes to "keep people in their homes." Sure, if they lost their jobs or got sick, I'm willing to help. But if they bought McMansions at three times the price of our paid-off, $250,000 condo, on one-third of my salary, then let the left-wing Congress-critters who passed Fannie and Freddie and the Community Reinvestment Act that created the bubble help them with their own money.
I'm tired of being told how bad America is by left-wing millionaires like Michael Moore, George Soros and Hollywood Entertainers who live in luxury because of the opportunities America offers. In thirty years, if they get their way, the United States will have the economy of Zimbabwe , the freedom of the press of China, the crime and violence of Mexico , the tolerance for Christian people of Iran, and the freedom of speech of Venezuela .
I'm tired of being told that Islam is a "Religion of Peace," when every day I can read dozens of stories of Muslim men killing their sisters, wives and daughters for their family "honor"; of Muslims rioting over some slight offense; of Muslims murdering Christian and Jews because they aren't "believers"; of Muslims burning schools for girls; of Muslims stoning teenage rape victims to death for "adultery"; of Muslims mutilating the genitals of little girls; all in the name of Allah, because the Qur'an and Shari'a law tells them to.
I'm tired of being told that "race doesn't matter" in the post-racial world of Obama, when it's all that matters in affirmative action jobs, lower college admission and graduation standards for minorities (harming them the most), government contract set-asides, tolerance for the ghetto culture of violence and fatherless children that hurts minorities more than anyone, and in the appointment of U.S. Senators from Illinois.
I think it's very cool that we have a black president and that a black child is doing her homework at the desk where Lincoln wrote the Emancipation Proclamation. I just wish the black president was Condi Rice, or someone who believes more in freedom and the individual and less arrogantly of an all-knowing government.
I'm tired of a news media that thinks Bush's fundraising and inaugural expenses were obscene, but that think Obama's, at triple the cost, were wonderful; that thinks Bush exercising daily was a waste of presidential time, but Obama exercising is a great example for the public to control weight and stress; that picked over every line of Bush's military records, but never demanded that Kerry release his; that slammed Palin, with two years as governor, for being too inexperienced for VP, but touted Obama with three years as senator as potentially the best president ever. Wonder why people are dropping their subscriptions or switching to Fox News? Get a clue. I didn't vote for Bush in 2000, but the media and Kerry drove me to his camp in 2004.
I'm tired of being told that out of "tolerance for other cultures" we must let Saudi Arabia use our oil money to fund mosques and madrassa Islamic schools to preach hate in America , while no American group is allowed to fund a church, synagogue or religious school in Saudi Arabia to teach love and tolerance.
I'm tired of being told I must lower my living standard to fight global warming, which no one is allowed to debate. My wife and I live in a two-bedroom apartment and carpool together five miles to our jobs. We also own a three-bedroom condo where our daughter and granddaughter live. Our carbon footprint is about 5% of Al Gore's, and if you're greener than Gore, you're green enough.
I'm tired of being told that drug addicts have a disease, and I must help support and treat them, and pay for the damage they do. Did a giant germ rush out of a dark alley, grab them, and stuff white powder up their noses while they tried to fight it off? I don't think Gay people choose to be Gay, but I damn sure think druggies chose to take drugs. And I'm tired of harassment from cool people treating me like a freak when I tell them I never tried marijuana.
I'm tired of illegal aliens being called "undocumented workers," especially the ones who aren't working, but are living on welfare or crime. What's next? Calling drug dealers, "Undocumented Pharmacists"? And, no, I'm not against Hispanics. Most of them are Catholic, and it's been a few hundred years since Catholics wanted to kill me for my religion. I'm willing to fast track for citizenship any Hispanic person, who can speak English, doesn't have a criminal record and who is self-supporting without family on welfare, or who serves honorably for three years in our military.... Those are the citizens we need.
I'm tired of latte liberals and journalists, who would never wear the uniform of the Republic themselves, or let their entitlement-handicapped kids near a recruiting station, trashing our military. They and their kids can sit at home, never having to make split-second decisions under life and death circumstances, and bad mouth better people than themselves. Do bad things happen in war? You bet. Do our troops sometimes misbehave? Sure. Does this compare with the atrocities that were the policy of our enemies for the last fifty years and still are? Not even close. So here's the deal. I'll let myself be subjected to all the humiliation and abuse that was heaped on terrorists at Abu Ghraib or Gitmo, and the critics can let themselves be subject to captivity by the Muslims, who tortured and beheaded Daniel Pearl in Pakistan, or the Muslims who tortured and murdered Marine Lt. Col. William Higgins in Lebanon, or the Muslims who ran the blood-spattered Al Qaeda torture rooms our troops found in Iraq, or the Muslims who cut off the heads of schoolgirls in Indonesia, because the girls were Christian. Then we'll compare notes. British and American soldiers are the only troops in history that civilians came to for help and handouts, instead of hiding from in fear.
I'm tired of people telling me that their party has a corner on virtue and the other party has a corner on corruption. Read the papers; bums are bipartisan. And I'm tired of people telling me we need bipartisanship. I live in Illinois , where the "Illinois Combine" of Democrats has worked to loot the public for years. Not to mention the tax cheats in Obama's cabinet.
I'm tired of hearing wealthy athletes, entertainers and politicians of both parties talking about innocent mistakes, stupid mistakes or youthful mistakes, when we all know they think their only mistake was getting caught. I'm tired of people with a sense of entitlement, rich or poor.
Speaking of poor, I'm tired of hearing people with air-conditioned homes, color TVs and two cars called poor. The majority of Americans didn't have that in 1970, but we didn't know we were "poor." The poverty pimps have to keep changing the definition of poor to keep the dollars flowing.
I'm real tired of people who don't take responsibility for their lives and actions. I'm tired of hearing them blame the government, or discrimination or big-whatever for their problems.
Yes, I'm damn tired. But I'm also glad to be 63. Because, mostly, I'm not going to have to see the world these people are making. I'm just sorry for my granddaughter.

Enslaving the Free
Isn't it ironic that Abraham Lincoln, a Republican, signed the Emancipation Proclamation that freed the slaves, and almost 150 years later Barack Obama, a Democrat, signed a health care bill that made us all slaves to the federal government? The American Heritage Dictionary defines a slave as "One who is submissive or subject to a specified person or influence."
The way the bill is written, if we refuse to join, the IRS can attack your wages, fine you, take your home and even put you in prison if you refuse to pay up.
It seems that our leaders ditched the class where I learned that those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

Very Interesting.. Dr. Charles Krauthammer

Dr. Krauthammer is on Fox News. He is an M.D. and a lawyer and is paralyzed from the neck down. A friend went to hear Charles Krauthammer. He listened with 25 others in a closed room. What he says here, is NOT 2nd-hand but 1st. The ramifications are staggering for us, our children and their children.
Last Monday was a profound evening, Dr. Charles Krauthammer spoke to the Center for the American Experiment. He is a brilliant intellectual, seasoned & articulate. He is forthright and careful in his analysis, and never resorts to emotions or personal insults. He is NOT a fear monger nor an extremist in his comments and views. He is a fiscal conservative, and has received a Pulitzer Prize for writing. He is a frequent contributor to Fox News and writes weekly for the Washington Post.
The entire room was held spellbound during his talk. I have summarized his comments, as we are living in uncharted waters economically and internationally.
Even 2 Dems at my table agreed with everything he said! If you feel like forwarding this to those who are open minded and have not drunk the Kool-Aid, feel free.
Summary of his comments:
1. Mr. Obama is a very intellectual, charming individual. He is not to be underestimated. He is a cool customer who doesn't show his emotions. It's very hard to know what's behind the mask. The taking down of the Clinton dynasty was an amazing accomplishment. The Clintons still do not understand what hit them. Obama was in the perfect place at the perfect time.
2. Obama has political skills comparable to Reagan and Clinton. He has a way of making you think he's on your side, agreeing with your position, while doing the opposite. Pay no attention to what he SAYS; rather, watch what he DOES!
3. Obama has a ruthless quest for power. He did not come to Washington to make something out of himself, but rather to change everything, including dismantling capitalism. He can't be straightforward on his ambitions, as the public would not go along. He has a heavy hand, and wants to level the playing field with income redistribution and punishment to the achievers of society. He would like to model the USA to Great Britain or Canada.
4. His three main goals are to control ENERGY, PUBLIC EDUCATION, and NATIONAL HEALTHCARE by the Federal government. He doesn't care about the auto or financial services industries, but got them as an early bonus. The cap and trade will add costs to everything and stifle growth. Paying for FREE college education is his goal. Most scary is his healthcare program, because if you make it FREE and add 46,000,000 people to a Medicare-type single-payer system, the costs will go through the roof. The only way to control costs is with massive RATIONING of services, like in Canada . God forbid!
5. He has surrounded himself with mostly far-left academic types. No one around him has ever even run a candy store. But they are going to try and run the auto, financial, banking and other industries. This obviously can't work in the long run. Obama is not a socialist; rather he's a far-left secular progressive bent on nothing short of revolution. He ran as a moderate, but will govern from the hard left. Again, watch what he does, not what he says.
6. Obama doesn't really see himself as President of the United States , but more as a ruler over the world. He sees himself above it all, trying to orchestrate & coordinate various countries and their agendas. He sees moral equivalency in all cultures. His apology tour in Germany and England was a prime example of how he sees America , as an imperialist nation that has been arrogant, rather than a great noble nation that has at times made errors. This is the first President ever who has chastised our allies and appeased our enemies!
7. He is now handing out goodies. He hopes that the bill (and pain) will not come due until after he is reelected in 2012. He would like to blame all problems on Bush from the past, and hopefully his successor in the future. He has a huge ego, and Dr. Krauthammer believes he is a narcissist.
8. Republicans are in the wilderness for a while, but will emerge strong. Republicans are pining for another Reagan, but there will never be another like him. Krauthammer believes Mitt Romney, Tim Pawlenty & Bobby Jindahl (except for his terrible speech in February) are the future of the party. Newt Gingrich is brilliant, but has baggage.. Sarah Palin is sincere and intelligent, but needs to really be seriously boning up on facts and info if she is to be a serious candidate in the future.. We need to return to the party of lower taxes, smaller government, personal responsibility, strong national defense, and state's rights.
9. The current level of spending is irresponsible and outrageous. We are spending trillions that we don't have. This could lead to hyperinflation, depression or worse. No country has ever spent themselves into prosperity. The media is giving Obama, Reid and Pelosi a pass because they love their agenda. But eventually the bill will come due and people will realize the huge bailouts didn't work, nor will the stimulus package.
These were trillion-dollar payoffs to Obama's allies, unions and the Congress to placate the left, so he can get support for #4 above.
10. The election was over in mid-September when Lehman brothers failed, fear and panic swept in, we had an unpopular President, and the war was grinding on indefinitely without a clear outcome. The people are in pain, and the mantra of change caused people to act emotionally. Any Dem would have won this election; it was surprising it was as close as it was.
11. In 2012, if the unemployment rate is over 10%, Republicans will be swept back into power. If it's under 8%, the Dems continue to roll. If it's between 8-10%, it will be a dogfight. It will all be about the economy. I hope this gets you really thinking about what's happening in Washington and Congress. There is a left-wing revolution going on, according to Krauthammer, and he encourages us to keep the faith and join the loyal resistance. The work will be hard, but we're right on most issues and can reclaim our country, before it's far too late.

As you know, the U.S. House of Representatives passed President Obama's government takeover of health care on Sunday, by a 219-212 vote. It was a heartbreaking moment.
They approved taxpayer funding of abortion, higher taxes, government control of one sixth of the economy, diminished care, marriage penalties, and more ... using lies and phony math. It was a victory for those who promote European-style socialism where the governing elite, not the people, make key decisions.
To do this the Democratic Leadership acted like this country's ruling class, ignoring that they are elected officials and answerable to us! They spent enormous political capital, bent every rule, bribed politicians with your money, used backroom deals, and rejected the will of a majority of the American people.
Now is not the time to quit! Working together we can take back this lost ground.
The American people have not forgotten the founding principles of faith, family and freedom that make our nation great. Yes, our democratic republic is under direct assault by this bill and this government. But, as we saw countless times over the past year, previously silent Americans have engaged in the political process.
Now is the time to join FRC Action. Unlike other nations where people turn to violence, we turn to the ballot box. Polls show that the American people reject the big government solution and seek liberty. Please help us spread the truth about this government takeover. Pressing Their Suit: States Line up for Legal Challenge
President Obama may have signed his name tens of thousands of times, but nowhere will pack more punch than on the dotted line of today's health care bill. As of this morning, the liberals' nightmarish plan is now a cruel reality for a whopping 80% of the country who believe that the legislation will either hurt them or have no effect whatsoever. The backlash, fired from states across the country, started almost immediately. Lawsuits from 13 states--some collective, others individual--are already in motion from attorneys general who represent a wide array of politically diverse populations. Michigan, Idaho, Mississippi, Minnesota, and now Louisiana, are also wading in the legal waters with announcements that they too may go to court in hopes of fending off ObamaCare at their borders. All but 11 U.S. states are following up these legal revolts with a regional one, having introduced or passed legislation in some form that questions the bill's constitutionality (or, more accurately, the lack of it--as Ken Blackwell, Sen. Orrin Hatch, and Ken Klukowski point out).
Despite all the negative PR, White House Senior Advisor David Axelrod shrugged off the notion that these states would have any influence. The President's legislation, he said, "will withstand the legal challenges." But can it withstand the political one? After their dazzling courtship, the President's unfaithfulness to American voters cuts deep. If anything, that betrayal will only take on new legs, as congressional Republicans pick up steam with their repeal campaign. In the Senate, Jim DeMint (R-S.C.) is banking on one simple sentence to reverse the bill, "The Patient Protection and Affordable Health Care Act, and the amendments made by that Act are repealed." On the House side, Steve King (R-Iowa) is launching an offensive with his own repeal bill. Unfortunately, the challenge that could have had the most immediate impact was thrown out in the Senate by the Democrat-appointed parliamentarian, who ruled against the GOP's argument on reconciliation.
Others are adding ammunition for November to hit Democrats squarely between the "ayes." While some groups are pronouncing the pro-life movement dead in the President's party, they seem oblivious to the fact that several Democrats actually stood, unbending, in the storm. By founding the coalition (which he later abandoned), Rep. Bart Stupak (D-Mich.) overshadowed all of the leaders who planted their feet firmly on the side of life when it mattered most. Rep. Dan Lipinski (D-Ill.), stood strong voting "no" for the bill in the face of overwhelming peer pressure--as did Democratic Reps. Boren, Bright, Childers, Holden, L. Davis, Marshall, McIntyre, Peterson, Shuler, Skelton and Taylor. Although these members were completely eclipsed by Stupak, they were the ultimate heroes. Rather than lash out at the movement for the collapse of some, we should make a concentrated effort to praise those who took the mantle upon themselves. They heeded Rep. Stupak's advice even when he did not--the important thing is to prioritize life, not politicize it.
As for others' pro-life U-turns, it's personal now. FRC Action's Tom McClusky made that clear yesterday to a reporter from Politico. "There's passion, but we want to make sure that passion is directed in the right place." You can help. What now?
So, where do we go from here? First, we must remember that elections have consequences. Years of big government "compassionate" conservatism culminated in the speakership of Nancy Pelosi and the election of the most left-wing president in American history.
The fact that we conservatives were able to fend off this health-care monster for so long is amazing. But the reality is, until true constitutional conservatives recapture Congress, the growth of government and the incineration of liberty will only continue apace.
Beyond challenging the legality and constitutionality of what has transpired, we must now focus on a seat-by-seat annihilation of Democrats nationwide. Republicans will be in a prime position to take over. It's our job to ensure the RIGHT Republicans are lined up.
As for ObamaCare, a total repeal will be exceedingly difficult. Once the "right" to health care is established by law, good luck declaring it just a privilege. If you thought the health-care sob stories were bad over the last several months, just imagine how heart-wrenching they'll be come November. Yet there is much to be hopeful about. We are witnessing a long-overdue rebirth of conservatism. Many fine men and women are rising to the challenges before us.
The only way to save this country from financial ruin is an all-out, frontal assault on the American Left and their congressional foot soldiers. I, for one, am more committed to this battle than ever before.
Oh, and up next -- Baramnesty! After all, how else will Democrats survive the next election without 20 million new voters? I hope you all have some fight left, because we're only just getting started.

What now?
So, where do we go from here? First, we must remember that elections have consequences. Years of big government "compassionate" conservatism culminated in the speakership of Nancy Pelosi and the election of the most left-wing president in American history.
The fact that we conservatives were able to fend off this health-care monster for so long is amazing. But the reality is, until true constitutional conservatives recapture Congress, the growth of government and the incineration of liberty will only continue apace.

Obama and Health Care are not the real problem, their just a distraction from the real problems.

1. 40% of all workers in L. A. County ( L. A. County has 10.2 million people)are working for cash and not paying taxes. This is because they are predominantly illegal immigrants working without a green card.
2. 95% of warrants for murder in Los Angeles are for illegal aliens.
3. 75% of people on the most wanted list in Los Angeles are illegal aliens.
4. Over 2/3 of all births in Los Angeles County are to illegal alien Mexicans on Medi-Cal, whose births were paid for by taxpayers!
5. Nearly 35% of all inmates in California detention centers are Mexican nationals here illegally.
6. Over 300,000 illegal aliens in Los Angeles County are living in garages.
7. The FBI reports half of all gang members in Los Angeles are most likely illegal aliens from south of the border.

Recent Update on the Health Care Bill
I just received this from my Congressional Representative Ed Royce:
Dear Carl,
Thank you for contacting me to express your opposition to the current health care legislation before Congress.
The headline in yesterday morning's Washington Post read, "Pelosi may try to pass health bill without vote." According to the Post, Speaker Nancy Pelosi has begun to implement a "procedural sleight of hand" with the hopes of passing this government takeover of healthcare. In a complicated procedure, House members may "deem" the Senate bill passed using a "selfexecuting rule," allowing members to avoid a direct vote on the Senate bill. Constitutional experts question the validity of this move.
I am deeply troubled by the unprecedented measures taken by the Democratic leadership to avoid a vote on the unpopular Senate legislation. Rest assured, I will continue working to oppose any measures that attempt to advance this government takeover of health care. In speeches on the House floor, talk radio shows, and television appearances, I have addressed these exact issues and will do everything in my ability to stop this bill.
To address the health care problems facing Americans, I support patient centered reform that gives consumers control over their health coverage. I want to allow individuals and businesses to purchase health care across state lines. Several states have little or no competition among insurance providers. By allowing those seeking coverage to access a national market, we will see an increase in availability, and a decrease in costs. I support letting small businesses band together to purchase high quality health care for their employees at a more affordable price, just as large corporations and unions do. And finally, I support tort reform to rein in junk lawsuits that make health care more expensive for everyone.

As a practicing physician I have major concerns with the health care bill before Congress. I actually have read the bill and am shocked by the brazenness of the government's proposed involvement in the patient-physician relationship. The very idea that the government will dictate and ration patient care is dangerous and certainly not helpful in designing a health care system that works for all. Every physician I work with agrees that we need to fix our health care system, but the proposed bills currently making their way through congress will be a disaster if passed.
I ask you respectfully and as a patriotic American to look at the following troubling lines that I have read in the bill. You cannot possibly believe that these proposals are in the best interests of the country and our fellow citizens.
Page 22 of the HC Bill: Mandates that the Govt will audit books of all employers that self-insure!!
